Lisa Appleton became the eleventh person to be evicted from the Big Brother house on Day 86.
She and partner Mario Marconi were the first housemates to enter the compound and were part of the wedding task in Week One alongside Luke and Steph.
Lisa and Luke had to try fool their fellow housemates into thinking Mario and Steph were a couple. However, on Day 4, the group correctly guessed that Lisa and Mario were the genuine pairing. The foursome were placed up for eviction, but Lisa survived the early chop.
On Day 10, she and Mario enjoyed a private moment of celebration in bed to celebrate their survival.
While Mario was in the house, Lisa spent most of her time with her lover. They repeatedly told housemates how popular they were in their hometown of Warrington, bragging that they had fan clubs.
Slight problems in their relationship emerged after a couple of weeks, with Mario criticising the 40-year-old for spending too much time in the kitchen. He said she was a "laughing stock" and accused her of letting the other housemates walk all over her.
The pair spent some time criticising their fellow housemates in the early stages of the show. They were highly critical of Stephanie, who they blamed for the failed wedding task, and Rachel, who they initially believed was on a secret mission for Big Brother. On Day 74, Lisa told Mikey that she thought Rachel had a crush on Mario during his stint in the house.
However, she disagreed with her lover on his assessment of Rex. Lisa defended the executive chef, claiming she was "honoured" to be in the house with him. Their relationship soured on Day 58 when she criticised him for his sarcastic attitude. She also complained at his repeated assertions that he wanted to leave the compound.
When Mario left the house on Day 37, Lisa admitted she felt there was less pressure on her. She argued that group's perceptions of the couple as a powerful force in the house had counted against them. The mother-of-one also claimed their was some spiritual meaning behind her partner's departure, arguing "the universe" had called him.
Lisa spoke to the housemates on several occasions about her spirituality and beliefs in the supernatural. Most memorably, she told a story on Day 40 about meeting a "little green man" when she was young. On Day 74, she revealed that she often fantasises about being superhuman and stopping disasters "and stuff".
The Beauty Sales rep was forced to struggle in Hell during the first two weeks of Heaven/Hell divide, with Darnell and Dale not picking her for Heaven. She remained there for a third week after failing to finish in the first four during the chili task. She was eventually shifted to Heaven after proving successful in the alphabet challenge.
When Nicole arrived on Day 59, Lisa broke down a fire door and attempted to escape the house, admitting that she was missing Mario. She was persuaded to stay in the compound after security staff took her back to the house.
On Day 81, Mario returned briefly to propose to Lisa. He stood on a red, heart-shaped plinth in the garden wearing a tuxedo, accompanied with a rose-shaped jewellery box and placards. Lisa wept and accepted his proposal, which included a ring engraved with the words "L and M, 24/08/08 BB9 x".
During her final weeks in the house, Lisa struck up a close friendship with Sara. The pair were put up for eviction together on Day 84 after housemates were forced to nominate in front of each other.
As a consequence, Sara and Lisa were chosen to participate in a game of Prisoner's Dilemma with £50,000 at stake. They decided to share the cash between them rather than gamble and try to win the whole sum. Lisa said she would always share the cash because Sara was her "best buddy".
She left the house with 52.6% of the vote in one of the closest evictions in the show's history.
