Group's taste buds put to the test

Beans, cheese, and crisps were among the items housemates had to taste test this afternoon in the final task of the show.

Rachel was the first into the Diary Room, where she was asked to identify five different types of cheddar cheese. Rex was next to put his taste buds to the test and emerged back into the living area with a massive belch.

He revealed that he had been asked to differentiate between five brands of cola. Housemates agreed that Sara drew the short straw when asked to name five differing mineral waters, having hoped for vodka.

Mikey was next and came back disgusted that he had been asked to sample salt and vinegar crisps.

Last in was Darnell, who took considerably longer than his fellow samplers. He revealed that he had tested baked beans and had devoured every last morsel.

Rex had earlier imagined that the task winner could be given money or a professional haircut.

"That would be whack, dude," Darnell replied.
