Bosses behind this year's Celebrity Big Brother are reportedly planning to scrap the show's 24-hour coverage.
Officials are said to be dropping the round-the-clock feed for the series' sixth run in order to avoid another controversy like the racism row surrounding Shilpa Shetty in 2007.
"Fans will be royally short-changed. What used to be a reality show has turned into a farce," a source told The Sun.
"They've scrapped the 24-hour feed for many reasons but the main one is to get more control. It's now an entertainment show with celebs doing silly tasks."
Celebrity Big Brother begins Friday, January 2 on Channel 4.
