Raef Bjayou turned down Big Brother

Former Apprentice star Raef Bjayou has revealed that he turned down the chance to appear on Big Brother.

The series four contestant claimed that he was offered "Big Brother-based" work after losing out on a job with Sir Alan Sugar last year.

"I've got a terrific agent who bats away a lot of stuff," Bjayou told Digital Spy."Most of it was Big Brother-based.

"I've batted them away on a professional basis. Just because I eventually want to do serious documentary piece-to-camera work. I desperately try to do everything, fun and serious, but I've been told in no uncertain terms that you can't pull off both in the media."

He joked: "Sir Trevor McDonald can't tell us about some horrific crime that's taken place and then be seen on that hilarious show Hole In The Wall.

"It's a shame because we'd all love to see Sir Trev in a leotard trying to go through some unusual shapes. But there we go, we can't have everything!"
