DS:BB's 'on this day' takes a look back at what happened in the house on this day in each of the past three series.

Big Brother 1

Still in house: Anna, Claire, Craig, Darren, Melanie, Tom
The nominations are announced, and it's a shock four-person result. Tom, Craig, Anna and Darren will all face the boot from the house on Friday. Darren received three votes and the others two. News originally met with laughter, the nominees jokingly call Mel a "traitor" for having escaped nomination. Craig jumps under the duvet for a roll and giggle with Claire. The housemates discuss the meaning of life, religion and the confines of space. "I have nothing to suggest that I have a purpose here, other than to sit around talking shit to you," announces Mel.

Big Brother 2

Still in house: Amma, Brian, Dean, Elizabeth, Helen, Josh, Paul
The housemates rehearse for their soap opera, in which they will play the characters of each other. Josh will be Brian, but says he "isn't nasty enough" to be like him for real. Brian snogs Helen in full view of the other housemates as joke. Brian slags off Paul to Dean: "Dean, what people relate to Paul? With all due respect, they must be 10 years of age, love Star Wars and they can kick their legs really high." Josh sleeptalks: "Stroke my hair, I'm gonna' be famous." Paul and Amma are nominated; she says she is surprised she hasn't been nominated before now. Helen sneaks up and scares Paul whilst he's brushing his teeth. Helen shows off her flexibility by putting her legs behind her ears. Brian and Josh shave their heads. Brian gets a tablet from the dentist which turns his teeth blue. Two youths manage to break into the garden but are whisked away quickly by security. housemates pass their soap mini-task and will be rewarded tomorrow.

Big Brother 3

Still in house: Adele, Alex, Jade, Jonny, Kate, PJ, Tim
Alex confides to Adele that he felt "pathetic" with one of his nomination reasons, adding that he "never wants to see Jade again." Alex says he regrets being part of the bullying of Sophie, as well as feeling sorry for Jonny, whose parents have to come down from Newcastle each time he's nominated. Kate, Adele and Alex invent a game called 'follow the van' which they play under the sheets in the bedroom. They are interrupted by Jonny who clocks that something has been going on. The nominations are announced; it's Adele, Jade, Jonny and Kate. Adele blames Jade for both her and Kate's nominations (Jade in fact voted for Kate and Tim, not Adele). The housemates are set a new minitask, to create puppets and write a puppet show for Thursday. If successful, they will be rewarded with a games evening.
