Mental health organisations unhappy again

Big Brother has again come under fire from mental health organisations after allowing pre-op transsexual Sam into the house.

The organisations are concerned that people with mental issues are being exploited in the name of entertainment and are worried that it is only a matter of time before it all goes horribly wrong.

“Housemates with vulnerable mental conditions are being used for entertainment," Marjorie Wallace, chief executive of Sane, told The Sun. "A trigger for suicide is putting these kind of people under stress. It is very dangerous."

Charity Rethink added: "The programme should not profit from people having a breakdown."

The comments come after Shahbaz left in the wake of suicide threats and yesterday's departure of mild-mannered George, who admitted he would be unable to handle the fame that the show entails.
