The group spent the late morning dressing in the geeky clothes prescribed by Big Brother for their task.
Everyone met the dressing-up with excitement, although some housemates were happier with the garments provided than others.
Nikki announced that she looked like a nun in her costume, although clearly realised that there’s always somebody worse off than herself. "Richard, you look ridiculous." "Tell me about it," replied the disguised contestant, dressed in a dickie bow, propeller hat and – in the ultimate crime against fashion – white socks beneath sandals.
Sam seemed a little despondent at being kitted out with clothes for a male of the geek species, despite entering the house wanting to be regarded as female. Lea, meanwhile, engaged in a battle with her purple blouse whose buttons she had trouble fastening around her rebellious chest.
Pete, whose pink shirt was artfully poking out of his open trouser fly, gave a manic laugh as Richard observed: "You look like a mad scientist." Clearly getting the most entertainment from his temporary makeover, Pete went on to speak to Mikey about a burgundy train he claimed to have spotted earlier.
Apart from Aisleyne's assertion that her blue floral dress and cardigan rendered her unsexy, the largest complaint was from Richard, whose thick glasses were making him feel nauseous. Worried that taking them off would result in failure of the task, he satisfied his conscience by putting them on his head.
