With another row beginning to erupt between Lea and Aisleyne, Pete pulled Nikki aside for a chat about the situation.

"Don't repeat what you've said. About what Sam said," he began. "I swear I won't say a word, I promise," Nikki vowed.

Although the subject of their pact was unclear, Nikki appeared to hint that house latecomer Sam - since evicted - had divulged something she had learned about Lea before entering the house.

"I don't want to talk about it any more," Pete said, ending the thread of discussion.

Changing the subject to the warring girls, he suggested that their problems were a result of not speaking to each other properly for a while. "So they just start imagining things about each other," he explained. "People don't trust each other in here. I do. I don't care if someone is talking about me."

Nikki assured Pete that no-one would be guilty of such a thing, but he insisted that it wouldn't matter. "That's what's going to happen in here - people are going to talk. You've got to know that that's what's going to happen. Some people... it really affects them."

"Like Lea," Nikki added. "Because she's had it all her life probably."
