Preston stormed out of a Never Mind the Buzzcocks recording when host Simon Astell joked about his wife Chantelle.
The presenter mockingly read an extract from the rags-to-riches Big Brother champion's autobiography Living The Dream.
A member of the studio audience recalled: “Simon sarcastically read out where she talks of wearing Marks & Spencer clothes for a photoshoot saying, ‘I’ve always loved M&S, but it was always too expensive. The photoshoot made me feel very posh and upmarket’. Preston just stood up, ripped off his mike and flounced out.”
Unphased by his exit, fellow panellist Bill Bailey recruited a Preston look-alike fom the audience. “Don’t worry, it’s not Big Brother," said the comedian. "He’s not been voted off.”
A show spokesman told The Sun: “It’s a shame Preston felt he had to leave. Simon loves to banter with guests — and it’s always in good spirit.”
