Nicky holds out the olive branch

Nicky told housemates this morning that she doesn't want her time in the house to be overshadowed by rows with Carole.

She explained to Tracey how she had attempted to make conversation with Carole on several occasions and even offered to help her hang out the washing last night but was blanked on each occasion. She stated: "I've thrown out the olive branch to her."

Tracey suggested: "You don't want to make yourself look stupid trying to talk to her." She comforted Nicky by telling her it was very "playground-like" in the house yesterday and reassured her that she had done all she could to amend the rift.

Nicky admitted that Carole "annoys her" when she interrupts her cooking, but expressed disbelief that "a woman of her age is relishing [her] being this upset".

The accounts executive explained to several members of the house that she kept wondering what her auntie would tell her to do in this situation, claiming that the advice would probably be "apologise" and "get on with it", and don't let it ruin your time in the house.

Speaking about her threats to walk away from the house last night, she told Chanelle: "I didn't do it for the attention."
