Liam was the lucky housemate elected to win £100,000 by Carole, Seány and Jonathan tonight and the housemates have been told that his cash is the prize money for the series.
Davina launched the second of tonight's live shows by announcing: "People are always saying that get-rich-quick schemes don't work - well we've got one that is full proof."
Inside the house, Big Brother called Carole, Jonathan and Seány to the diary room and informed them that they were the housemates up for nomination this week.
They were then told that their luck was about to get "even worse".
Big Brother explained: "In this case is £100,000 - tonight, just one housemate will receive that money but it won't be any of you."
The three housemates were then given one minute to decide between themselves which member of the group should receive the money, Big Brother warning them that their choice could not be made at random.
Jonathan, Seány and Carole initially picked different housemates: Seány choosing Laura, Carole electing Ziggy and Jonathan proposing Amanda.
Seány argued that the twins didn't need the money as they would be "sorted" after the show, while both Carole and Jonathan declared that they "couldn't" give the cash to Laura.
Although Jonathan agreed with Carole's initial choice of Ziggy, Carole changed her mind and suggested Liam. The other two housemates instantly agreed with her choice, saying in unison that their final decision was that Liam should be given the prize.
The trio were then asked to leave the diary room and return to the group. Big Brother also requested they they not reveal their choice until they were asked to. Within minutes, Big Brother asked Carole to announce their choice to her fellow housemates.
She revealed: "We had a minute to decide who to give the £100,000 to and we gave it to Liam."
Liam initially sat in silence but eventually broke down in tears, standing in disbelief as to what he had just heard.
The whole group applauded the decision of the nominated housemates and informed Liam that he was a deserved winner, with Charley screaming: "Liam - 100 big ones - Yeh!"
The housemates are unaware that another £100,000 is still available to the overall winner of the series.
