Big Brother fanatic Brian nearly exploded with excitement this evening when he discovered that he would be competing against series 3 housemates Alex and Adele.
The Essex boy and partner Kara-Louise were told they must complete in basketball, darts and football keep-ups as their part of this week's Time Travel shopping task.
Brian was gobsmacked when Alex and a short-haired Adele made their entrance into the task room, which was divided into BB3-style rich and poor sides.
"I think we've had the best task, the best task!" screamed Kara-Louise, while Alex warned: "You do realise, though, that you're gonna fail."
The current housemates were unable to concentrate as Alex read out the instructions for the sporting challenge. He revealed that he and Adele would go first at each skill and the Time Travellers must beat their scores.
"It's like they're not real, it's like they're not real people!" gushed an amazed Brian, to which a calm Alex joked: "We're just look-a-likes. No-one wants us anymore."
The quartet were given an extra 15 minutes to practice but spent most of the time comparing their experiences of Big Brother.
As Brian showed off his knowledge of past series, Alex exclaimed: "You know everything! I mean really, you knew things I even forgot about myself and I forgot them for a good reason!"
Adele later gave the new housemates some encouragement, telling a fearful Brian that being booed "was okay, you get over it".
She then asked who they believed would win the show, to which Kara-Louise said she thought Brian had a good chance.
"Seriously, both of you, just keep doing what you're doing," Adele urged, while Brian sighed: "This is a proper dream come true!"
