Gerry and Brian debate Amy's portrayal

Gerry and Brian have been debating how Amy may have been portrayed to the public during her time in the house.

As they lounged around the bedroom this afternoon, Gerry put forward his theory that housemates "walk in with a VT and spend the rest of their time proving [it] wrong".

"The thing is, though, Amy had a lot more to her. Amy was a nice girl," said Brian, when the conversation turned to the recently-evicted glamour model.

When Gerry wondered if she had time to prove it during her two weeks in the house, the Essex boy insisted: "What they've seen of Amy, the [highlights] couldn't have shown anything other. 'Cos there was a lot more to her than that, do you know what I'm trying to say? Even though she got boos, it wasn't bad boos, it wasn't 'Get Amy out'. So that proves in itself that she was not a bad person."

But Gerry could not be persuaded, stating that the housemates would only feature on the highlights shows for two minutes each. "They would have shown her flirting with Liam and then taking her top off. They have a male audience to satisfy," he said, adding that she did not have time to prove that she is an intelligent woman.

"I don't think she's gonna be upset about that, though," mused Brian. "It's not like she's been portrayed as being a bitch. She wouldn't be upset about that...'cos that's what Amy does, Amy's a flirt and she...gets her top off." Arguing that she did not enter the house to show her intelligence, he continued: "She just came in here to have a good time. If she came in here to show that [she's intelligent], she wouldn't have done the things she done. So I think she's happy with the way she was."

"So the VT is basically confirmed," concluded Gerry. "What they want her to be, she completely was."
