Amanda punished for broken microphone

Amanda has been told that she must think of her own punishment after breaking yet another microphone.

The twin was called to the diary room this afternoon after dropping her mic in the bath while washing her clothes. "Oh, for God's sake," muttered Carole.

Returning to the living area, a chastened Amanda revealed that she is now on her twelfth piece of kit. "I [said] 'I feel that bad, I'll even take a punishment'," she told Carole, Kara-Louise, Liam and Sam, adding that Big Brother had taken her up on the idea and she now had to think of a way to atone for her crime.

"I think you should have to relinquish your bourbon biscuits," piped up a cheerful Liam, although Carole put paid to the plan by pointing out that there were no biscuits to relinquish.

Big Brother had evidently been underwhelmed with Amanda's suggestion that she make toast out of her own bread for the rest of the week. Clearly surprised at her own daring, she exclaimed: "Do you know what punishment I even told them I'd do? Not wear pink for two days!"

The housemates then turned their minds to a suitable forfeit, with Kara-Louise suggesting that Amanda redeem herself by baking a "sorry cake".
