Amanda and Chanelle have delivered their BBTV news bulletin as part of this week's shopping task.

The pair were called into the diary room in the midst of a blazing row between Charley, Ziggy, Gerry and Carole this evening.

As the argument raged on and the group gathered on the sofas, the newsreaders flashed onto the plasma screen sporting identical men's grey wigs.

Amanda kicked off by revealing her name, but followed up by mispronouncing the word "anchor".
But she managed to successfully deliver the first news item - a warning from Big Brother about the alarms.

"Our top story today comes from the Brother house, which has been struck by an outbreak of bone idleness," she read. There followed a statement that flouting the rules by ignoring the alarm would be taken "extremely seriously".

Chanelle was forced to take over during the next item, as the twin broke down while reading a message from her mother.

However, Amanda was back in control to finish a relatively wooden performance from the pair with a joke at Ziggy's expense: "Today in north London, a man found love on a tube train. Not on the Northern Line, though!" she laughed.

After the newscast, the giggling 19-year-old revealed: "I loved being a man. We started getting changed as women in the diary room and then we thought 'let's be a man!'"

She later added: "We must be the laziest housemates ever for them to put it on the news!"
