
The 23-year-old told the Sunday Mirror: "I'm ashamed of what I did and I totally regret it. I am sorry for what happened."
He added: "It's been a tough few days but I need this time to rest before I can move on from this. I need to get my head around everything that has happened."
The dance teacher was removed from the house on Friday morning following a row the previous night in which he spat at Somali-born Mohamed. He was quizzed under police caution yesterday but he was not arrested and no charges were brought.
Hertfordshire police have been reviewing the footage and are likely to question Mohamed about the incident when he leaves the house.
Bookmakers have now halved the odds to 6/1 that the show will be scrapped before its scheduled finish date of September 5.
