Maysoon 'has a secret husband'

New housemate Maysoon Shaladi is hiding her husband of five years in a bid for fame, the Daily Star has claimed.

The Muslim model, who entered the house last Friday, told fellow housemates and Big Brother producers that she was single.

However, she lives with husband Ramsey Ahmet, 29, in North London, according to the newspaper.

A source close to the couple said: "May has said on Big Brother that she's single but she's certainly not. She and Ramsey had the Imam ceremony about five years ago. It's like an engagement ceremony but under Muslim law they are married.

"I don't know why she's lying but she's desperate to be famous and probably thought she had a better chance of getting in if she was single."

The couple met about ten years ago when they both worked in Tesco in Potters Bar, according to the source.
