The Bollywood film, which is a remake of Pokkiri, stars Salman Khan and will be the first movie Prabhu Deva has directed in Hindi.
Wanted had been due for release earlier under the name of Wanted Dead or Alive, but was held up due to post-production delays.
Musical duo Sajid-Wajid will provide the soundtrack for the film, which was shot in a variety of exotic locations, including Greece, Bangkok and Chennai.
Vinod Khanna, Mahesh Manjrekar and Prakash Raj will join Khan in the all-star cast.
The new release date of July 3 will see the film go head to head with Salman Khan's Main Aur Mrs. Khanna.
