Samir Karnik's Roshan has undergone a last-minute title change and will now be released in cinemas as Vaada Raha.

The film, which stars Bobby Deol and Kangna Ranaut, had been due to be released this month but was delayed by the ongoing producers' strike in Bollywood.

Speaking to Bollywood Hungama, Karnik said: "The name change is a decision taken by the makers Eros International who thought Vaada Raha would be a better title. They plan to release the film sometime in May provided the strike and other issues are taken care of."

Vaada Raha is a family-oriented drama and sees Deol play the role of a doctor.

Karnik, who directed last year's Heroes, also confirmed that he is working on the script for his next film, Formula No. 44.
