Co-stars Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor could be joined on the red carpet by Sylvester Stallone, who makes his Bollywood debut in the film by reprising the role of John Rambo.
The romantic comedy, which is directed by Sabbir Khan, also features Hollywood stars Denise Richards and Brandon Routh.
Producer Sajid Nadiawala is thought to be considering cutting the film's running time and dubbing it in English in an attempt to build on the international success of Slumdog Millionaire.
Kambakkht Ishq was scheduled to be released in December last year but was delayed by production work and the ongoing producers' strike in Bollywood.
The film is now slated for release on May 29.
