Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar is returning to Bollywood with The Lifestyle In Generation Next, it has been revealed.
After an absence of five years, Mangeshkar will make her much-anticipated return to the recording studios for Santosh Kumar Jain's debut film The Lifestyle In Generation Next.
The singer, who turned 79 last September, is planning to record a solo track for the movie at Swarlata Studio in Mumbai on April 27.
Mangeshkar was forced to postpone recording the song, which will be directed by Raam Laxman, two months ago after she was forced to undergo a series operation to replace both her knees.
Speaking to Movie Talkies, she said: "I feel like a new singer facing for first test. It is a great feeling to sing for a film again but I am also a little nervous before the recording of any song and this time I am a little more nervous because of being out of touch. I have worked very hard on the song. And I hope I do justice to it."
Mangeshkar has sung in nearly 1000 Bollywood films in over twenty regional Indian languages during her 66-year career.
