The Bollywood star, who has appeared in over 80 Hindi films, was describing the conduct of his fellow countrymen while they have been in South Africa for the Indian Premiere League cricket tournament.
He wrote: "Preity Z... she has a tremendous fighting spirit which I must say I adore; she makes us all proud."
Other stars to earn Kumar's praise included Shah Rukh Khan, whose team the Knight Riders the actor said had "put up a good fight" and would "always be loved".
Shilpa Shetty, who has been taking cricket lessons from Shane Warne while in South Africa, was advised to "keep smiling" as her team put her through her paces.
Kumar is currently filming his forthcoming release De Dhana Dhan.
