The duo, who last worked together 19 years ago in Agneepath, signed up for the project after speaking to director Vivek Sharma.
Sharma told The Times of India: "When I narrated the script to Mithun he was so involved and remembered every word.
"He was creatively open and convinced with his character. He was so excited that he also performed certain scenes. I am so glad that both Mr. Bachchan and Mithun have agreed to be a part of my film."
Bachchan and Chakraborty were reported not to be on speaking terms after a dispute while filming Jaadugar in 1989 led to the latter pulling out of the project.
