In an interview with the Daily Telegraph, the actor blamed the busy atmosphere of Mumbai for his difficulties to unwind.
"Nothing seems to ever shut and you only stop when you're completely exhausted by it all," he said.
However, the Slumdog Millionaire star added that his family are key to helping him de-stress.
"We always seem to be in different parts of the world these days, but my perfect weekend is to have all the children with me at home," he explained.
Kapoor has three children - Sonam, Rhea and Harsh - who it is understood all aspire to work in Bollywood.
