Rai-Bachchan will star at IIFAs

Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan has confirmed that she will perform a dance at the tenth IIFAs next month.

Rai will join other Bollywood celebrities including Sonam Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor in the line-up for India's version of the Oscars, The Times Of India reports.

Riteish Deshmukh, Lara Dutta and Boman Irani will host the annual event, scheduled to take place in Macau.

A number of film fans however have made known their upset at the decision to remove the movie premier segment from this year's festivities.

Sabbas Joseph, IIFA director, said that the change could not be helped.

He told the newspaper: "The movie premiere had to be cancelled this year because of the ongoing strike of new releases in Bollywood.

"Two big films were ready to be premiered at IIFA this year. I shall refrain from mentioning their names. But the imbroglio did away with the premiere."
