Khan, who starred in Danny Boyle's blockbuster hit Slumdog Millionaire, has previously appeared in several Hollywood productions including The Namesake, The Warrior and A Mighty Heart.
However, the 46-year-old said that Indian actors are being given more screen time due to their recent success.
He told The Times of India: "Indian actors are in fashion now. Not only have I got better roles, but Hollywood scripts are also being revised.
"American characters are being changed to Indian, with Indian names and Indian accent living in the US. I’m glad that in the process, many Indian actors will get a better chance to showcase their talent."
Khan's forthcoming Hollywood projects include an adaptation of Yann Martel’s Booker prize-winning novel Life Of Pi, which will be directed by Ang Lee.
