The film's producer BR Films has been instructed to wait until a hearing is adjourned on June 29 before issuing it across cinemas.
BR Films has been embroiled in a dispute with 20th Century Fox, which claims that Banda Yeh Bindaas Hai is an unauthorised remake of its 1992 film My Cousin Vinny.
The Hollywood studio is seeking $1.4 million in damages and an injunction against the movie's release.
