The 250ft apartment was bought on Ismail’s behalf by the Jai Ho Trust, which was set up by director Danny Boyle and producer Christian Coulson.
The young actor will be given the home when he turns 18.
He said: "I like it here, it is really nice. But I will miss my old friends back in Bandra. Maybe I will go and visit them once a while."
Ismail and co-star Rubina Ali were made homeless in May, following the demolishment of slums by city authorities.
At the time, Boyle said: "They were given access to a world, an extraordinary and glamorous world, and they understandably want their lives to be completely transformed.
"The homes are a concern. That is one of the reasons why we built the trust."
