Ahuja denies raping maid

Shiney Ahuja has denied raping his maid at a court hearing in Mumbai.

Ahuja, who was arrested on June 15, claimed that he is being framed in an attempt to damage his reputation.

He told the court: "It is a well-hatched conspiracy to malign my image and extort money from me. The victim's story of alleged rape is highly suspicious and doubtful as no external injuries were found on her person."

Ahuja is currently being held in judicial custody at Arthur Road Jail until July 16.
