Court allows 'Short Kut' release

The Delhi High Court has allowed Neeraj Vora's Short Kut to be released after producer Anil Kapoor settled a dispute with another filmmaker.

Kapoor agreed to pay Rs 3.5m (£44,000) to B.S. Bhullar, who claimed that he had registered the title Short Kut in September 2005.

Bhullar argued that the new film infringed his copyright in an "illegal and unauthorised" manner.

Short Kut, which is released today, stars Akshaye Khanna, Arshad Warsi and Amrita Rao.
