Director Rohit Shetty previously denied that there was any bad blood between the pair, however, it has emerged that the two actresses fought over who was to feature most during one of the film's scenes.
A source told The Times of India: "Problems between the two actresses escalated during the second song, which also has them sharing screen space.
"They refused to speak to each other even when it was absolutely necessary and director Rohit Shetty and choreographer Bosco Caesar found it quite difficult to handle the situation."
Basu reportedly criticised Godse's dance moves before attempting to teach her a few steps, which escalated the animosity to a point where the crew were forced to take a break from shooting.
