Shetty described Rekha as the epitome of the kind of "timeless beauty and wellness" that her IOSIS centre stands for.
The 34-year-old told Daily India: "I think the wellness industry is growing day by day. Beauty today is a business.
"I feel that in today's fast-paced life, people hardly find time to spend on their beauty and looks. Our idea behind opening IOSIS is that obviously people cannot do the treatments at home so we want them to spend some time with us and rediscover themselves."
Fellow actresses Pooja Batra and Sushmita Sen were also present at the spa, which is a joint venture between Shetty and entrepreneur Kiran Bawa.
