The Bengali actress, who is best known for starring in Omkara, claimed that she plans to try something different after a number of contemporary roles.
She told NDTV: "I would love to do a period film now. I have potrayed different characters in films but have never been part of a period film."
Sen Sharma will next be seen in Ayaan Mukherjee’s Wake Up Sid and Vinay Shukla's Mirch.
She added: "My character in Wake Up Sid is a very well-written one, where a simple girl meets her complete opposite, played by Ranbir Kapoor and how she faces the world when she comes to Mumbai to become a writer.
"In Mirch, I play a double role for the first time and it is primarily a film about women and their desires."
