Johar: 'Kaminey is a cult film'

Karan Johar has described Kaminey as an "edgy" cult picture that exhibits considerable "cinematic bravery".

The director congratulated filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj for the picture via his Twitter page, and said that the helmer has paved the way for "new age" cinema.

Uday Chopra also used the networking site to speak about the release, which stars Shahid Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and Amol Gupte.

Uday said: "Kamineywas rocking. A film experience that cannot be missed... Priyanka and Shahid both have given outstanding performances - go see it!"

Fellow Bollywood star Dino Morea added: "Vishal Bharadwaj is a genius filmmaker... loved his film, brought out brilliant performances. Dhan ta tan!"
