Suchitra accused of using child labour

Bollywood actress Suchitra Krishnamoorthi is facing a charge of using young girls to work as maids.
The Maharashtra government announced that it is investigating Krishnamoorthi and Laxmi, an Indian television star, after receiving information that the pair employ child labour.
Speaking at a press conference, Labour Minister Nawab Malik said: "Accordingly, we have initiated necessary proceedings against the two actresses. We appeal to people to come forward and give us information about such individuals who employ child labour so we can take suitable steps in the matter."
Krishnamoorthi, who recently wrapped up shooting Mittal Vs Mittal, is the former wife of director Shekhar Kapur.
