Director Sudipto Chattopadhyay has refused to cut the scenes featuring swearing, despite a six-month battle with the censors.
The film's 'A' certificate means that it can only be seen by those over 18, as it may contain sex, kissing, adult language or erotic scenes.
In an interview with The Times of India, Chattopadhyay said: "Bipasha plays protagonist Maradona’s alter ego. She fights as well as supports him throughout the film.
"She says 'f**k' during one of the scenes where they are at loggerheads. She tells Maradona, 'You are f**ked up in the head, that’s why you want to f**k me'."
The first-time director has conceded to cutting other scenes which feature objectionable language.
