Satish Kaushik has stated that he hopes to receive international recognition for his new release.
Kaushik believes that his role in Benegal's Road, Movie, an Indo-US co-production that also features Abhay Deol and Tannishtha Chatterjee, can catapult him to global stardom.
Speaking at the Toronto International Film Festival, he told PTI: "I have done a lot of work in Bollywood over the years as an actor and director. I now want to pursue projects that will give me a global profile.
"The last time I was here, in 2007, my performance in the British film Brick Lane garnered great reviews. It was a real high.
"I am hopeful my character in Road, Movie will fetch similar notices."
Kaushik was last seen in his own production Teree Sang, which released last month.
