Gupta admires Verma's "passion"

Sanjay Gupta has revealed that he decided to work with director Suparn Verma because of his "passion" for movies.

The two are to collaborate on action film Acid Factory, which stars Danny Denzongpa, Dino Morea, Aftab Shivdasani, Manoj Bajpai, Irrfan Khan, Fardeen Khan and Dia Mirza.

Speaking to Rediff Movies, producer Gupta said: "Many people ask me what do I look for when I sign on directors. Do I look at their past or their body of work?

"For me, the most important aspect is the passion the man has to make his movie. In Suparn's case it overflows."

Gupta added that he believes his job is to harness Verma's enthusiasm in order to help the movie "take off".
