The actor-turned-politician had to get rid of his facial hair for his role in Ram Gopal Varma's Rakta Charitra, much to the dismay of his family and friends, according to India Gazette.
"It wasn't easy for the actor to make up his mind to shave off his moustache as many of his family members, friends and associates were against the idea. But keeping in mind the look of his character, Shatrughan decided on the fresh look," revealed a source.
Rakta Charitra is a biographic film based on the life of outlaw Paritala Ravi. Sinha plays superstar-turned-politician NT Rama Rao, former Andhra Pradesh chief minister, in the movie.
Vivek Oberoi, who is playing the lead role, ironically had to grow a moustache for the part.
