Bharat Bala is hoping to emulate the success of Oscar-nominated movie The Wrestler by making a film about Ghulam Muhammad.
The director has decided to make a semi-biographic film about the famous Indian wrestler, who was also known as Gama Pehlwan and Lion of the Punjab.
Bala was reportedly intrigued by the sportsman's story as he was undefeated and died in suspicious circumstances, according to Real Bollywood.
Bala is currently casting for the film, which will be titled Gama The Great.
