Amitabh Bachchan is to sing on a track that commemorates last year’s Mumbai attacks.

The veteran actor claimed that the song will represent the strong character of Mumbai and its inhabitants.

He told the Daily News & Analysis that the track will be based "on the spirit of Mumbai, its resilience and its character of being able to withstand all storms".

"You may try to damage us, but you will never succeed in bending or breaking us," the 67-year-old added.

The city lost a number of senior police officers in the November 26 to 29 attacks, in which 166 people were killed.

The commemorative track will also feature 14 other famous singers.
