The veteran actor has signed up to star in Aarakshan, which will be shot in Jha's hometown Bhopal.
"Bhopal is a beautiful place and the people of the city are very helpful. I have therefore decided to shoot my next film Aarakshan, starring Amitabh Bachchan, here starting February next year," Jha told Express India.
The filmmaker also claimed that he likes to devote a lot of time to his movies, spending years researching fine details.
"Gangajal took eight to nine years to start while about six years were spent on Rajniti before shooting could begin," he said. "And now Aarakshan, which revolves around the recommendations of the Mandal Commission, has been in my mind for five years."
