Neil: 'Girlfriend cried watching me in Jail'

Neil Nitin Mukesh has revealed that his girlfriend cried "uncontrollably" while watching him in Jail.

The actor, who is famously secretive about his love life, attended the film's premiere with his partner and immediate family.

He told Bollywood Hungama: "[My girlfriend] Priyanka and my mum were hysterical with grief. They weren't looking at just a character being put through a traumatic time.

"To them it was someone who they both love in pain in front of their eyes."

Speaking about his relationship with Priyanka, he revealed: "More than lovers we're friends first. We don't have to hide anything. We meet openly and are very proud of one another."

The controversial film about an Indian prison has had several scenes of nudity and offensive language censored.
