Puri apologises to wife over book

Om Puri has apologised to his wife for his outburst about the intimate revelations in her biography of him.

The actor earlier said that he was angry at Nandita Puri for telling all about his relationships with two maids in her book Unlikely Hero: The Story Of Om Puri.

Yesterday, Puri told Mumbai Mirror: "I deeply regret my impulsive nature. It has hurt my wife and my son Ishaan.

"My son has been crying over the phone. I beg my wife and son’s forgiveness."

He added: "My anger should have been projected at the publishers for trying to pre-sell my wife’s book by leaking out only the sexual episodes."

He had reportedly been worried about being compared with alleged rapist Shiney Ahuja.
