Khan and Kapoor famously hosted the Filmfare Awards together earlier in the year and were then inundated with offers for 'buddy' films.
In an interview with the Mumbai Mirror, the actor revealed: "I don’t think Imran and I will be working together in any capacity in the near future.
"By God’s grace, I am in a position to do solo-hero films with terrific actresses and directors for the best banners.
"I am a selfish actor. I would rather have a film to myself than share it with another actor."
He denied that he was planning to co-produce a film with Khan, and said that he would work only for his family's production company.
On his friendship with the star, he said: "Where is the time for friendship? I’m doing what I love. So, no complaints."
