Queer Channels On Demand

QUOD (Queer Channels on Demand) has said that it will donate money to HIV/AIDS charities on behalf of viewers of 68 Pages, Happy Hookers and The Pink Mirror.

The lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender online entertainment channel will be donating all its revenues from these films to the The Humsafar Trust and Elton John AIDS Foundation from December 1 to the end of the year as part of World AIDS Day.

Colin Fallesen, QUOD CEO, said: "QUOD is extremely pleased to announce its support for the largest HIV/AIDS grant maker in the UK and a very important organisation working on the front-line of HIV/AIDS education and prevention in India. We hope that all viewers will strongly support this campaign in aid of these worthy causes to help improve the lives of many."

Both directed by Gulabi Aaina, 68 Pages and The Pink Mirror subvert the Bollywood genre to explore life as a gay person in India.

Happy Hookers similarly delves into the lives of male sex workers in Mumbai.
