The film, which was released last weekend and has already been panned by critics, was issued a notice by Delhi High Court on Monday.
Alongside Khan, director Anil Sharma and distributors Eros International have been accused of lifting excerpts from Trilogy Of Wisdom, a book written by noted author Pawan Chaudhary.
Chaudhary claims that a sequence from his book - showing that the fate of India can be only be saved if the country models itself after a fiery eagle - has been used for one of the scenes. Chaudhary also wants the film’s screening at the cinemas be halted until the outcome of the case.
A further hearing will be staged at the court on February 4.
