The actress, known for her gay rights campaigning, unveiled the new logo for Egypt - a sun held in a pair of hands.
At the launch, Egyptian ambassador Dr Mohamed Higazy said: "India and Egypt have cultural synergies and affinities that go far back in history. It is for this reason that we are launching our new campaign and logo here."
Jaitley, a former Miss India Universe, was made Indian brand ambassador for the country in 2007.
At the time, chairman of the Egyptian tourist board Amr El Ezaby, said: "We do believe that her vivacious personality compliments the vibrant and mystic beauty of Egypt and her beauty truly represents the spirit of our campaign tagline – nothing compares."
