SRK and Kajol to 'open' US stock exchange

Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol are to become the first Bollywood stars to 'ring the bell' that symbolises the opening of the NASDAQ stock exchange.

The My Name is Khan stars are opening the exchange on behalf of Fox Searchlight, who are distributing the film in the US.

An Indian promoter of the thriller told Express India: "This prestigious event is usually reserved for CEOs of major corporations and is broadcast live on many television networks across the globe."

The film about an autistic man mistakenly arrested on suspicion of terrorism sees the onscreen reunion of Kajol and Khan, who have famously co-starred in several box-office hits.

My Name is Khan is released on February 12 worldwide.
