The actress, whose latest film Sukhmani - Hope for Life is released on Friday, also said that she has a lot of scripts to choose from.
"I have laid a very basic ground rule for myself. I should be a favourite with the audience, they should love me, my role, my acting, appreciate my talent. I don't want to repeat any of my roles, ever," Dutta told IANS.
"All kinds of different roles come my way. I don't have to struggle much to get the scripts. You would see me doing comedy, action... So basically, I haven't kept my door closed by making a certain kind of image."
Sukhmani - Hope for Life, which stars Juhi Chawla, Gurdas Maan, Anoop Soni and Bhagwant Maan, is the directorial debut of Manjeet Maan.
